Eligible employees are provided various benefits through the School Employees Benefit Board (SEBB) Program. Employees are eligible for benefits if they are expected to work more than 630 hours in one school year.

The SEBB annual Open Enrollment period occurs
October 27, 2025 through November 24, 2025
Don’t miss your chance to make benefit changes for 2026. The benefit selections you make during Open Enrollment will take effect on January 1, 2026. This means your current plan options stay the same through December 31, 2025.LEARN MORE
Enrollment Information & links
Staff will enroll in dental, vision, medical, basic life insurance, basic long-term disability and basic accidental death and dismemberment policies through SEBB.Once eligible for benefits, staff must enroll in the SEBB Program no later than thirty-one (31) days after the eligibility date or during the Open Enrollment period.
Take Action During SEBB Open Enrollment
- Select or change your medical, dental, or vision plans
- Add or remove dependents and attest to spouse/domestic partner coverage premium surcharge
- Enroll in Flexible Spending Arrangements and similar programs (annual enrollment)
- Waive your medical coverage if enrolled in another employer-based group medical plan, TRICARE or Medicare
- Enroll in medical coverage, if previously waived

- Benefit details (including Rx coverage)
- Finding a doctor or dentist
- ID cards
- Copayments, coinsurance, deductibles, or claims
- Health plan complaints or appeals
- Using the plan's website

After the Open Enrollment period, additions of family members to insurance policies may occur only when there is a qualifying event. Addition of family members must take place within sixty (60) days of the qualifying event.

SEBB benefits for eligible employees include vision coverage for themselves and eligible dependents. VSD pays the premium. Three vision plans are available; both the employee and dependents must enroll in the same plan. Before selecting a vision plan, review the in-network providers to ensure your current vision service provider is available.
