One of the highlights of my day is seeing students and staff at the buses before and after school. I really miss seeing everyone! This is Teacher Appreciation Week and we have much to be thankful for here in Valley School District! I would like to extend special gratitude to our teaching staff and the work done to serve students before and during this pandemic. Here are some updates for the week:
As a reminder, the last day of school will be Friday, June 12. The last day of school for seniors is Friday, June 5.
Our meal service will continue to run Monday through Thursday (two days of meals on Thursday) and at bus loop location from 9:00-11:00 am. In the month of April, we served 4,500 breakfasts and lunches for a total of ~9,000 meals.
Childcare continues to serve families of 1st responders and medical professionals.
We are providing internet for educational purposes in the parking lot in front of the District Office. Please use the guest network, use internet for educational purposes, and practice proper social distancing.
The Paideia High School plant sale is this Saturday, May 9th starting at 8:00 am. It will be curbside pick-up with no pre-orders. We hope to see you there and please remember to follow the social distancing guidelines.
I am reminded daily that there are many things to be thankful for and that practicing social distancing does not mean we need to be isolated. From all of us at Valley School District, we wish your family a special Mother’s Day Weekend.
