Valley School District was notified by two employees, one at Valley Early Learning Center and one at Valley School, that they were exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19. These employees were contacted by Northeast Tri County Health District (NETCHD) and have been designated as a close contacts. NETCHD has investigated and determined the close contacts in this case and those individuals are taking the appropriate isolation precautions. In consultation with Dr. Sam Artzis, Health Officer for Northeast Tri County Health District, Valley Early Learning Center (VELC) will temporarily be closed until further notice for precautionary reasons and our hope is to reopen as soon as possible. The Valley Early Learning Center and Valley School buildings will be closed until further notice which will suspend our food and childcare services. After cleaning and sanitizing are completed, we will reevaluate services that can be offered in consultation with NETCHD and the Health Officer. We understand that this information may be upsetting and please know, the safety and well-being of staff is in the forefront of our minds.
