VSD Board of Directors Announces New Superintendent
Dr. Mandi Rehn to Serve as Next Superintendent
Following a rigorous hiring process which included an outstanding pool of candidates and four highly qualified finalists, the Valley School District Board of Directors is excited to announce that Dr. Mandi Rehn has been selected to be the next superintendent of the Valley School District, effective July 1, 2022.
Dr. Rehn is currently the Executive Director of Human Resources, Technology & Safety for the Central Valley School District. Prior to her current assignment she served as the Director of Special Programs and Elementary Curriculum for CV, principal at Opportunity Elementary in the Central Valley School District, principal at Michael Anderson Elementary in the Medical Lake School District, and as an elementary teacher from 1999 – 2007. Dr. Rehn holds a Doctorate in Education, Superintendent Certification, and Principal Certification – all from Washington State University. She also holds a Master of Creative Arts in Education from Lesley University, and a Bachelors of Arts in Education from Whitworth University.
Dr. Rehn is very excited to join the Valley School District and stated, “Thank you to the Valley School District community for welcoming me with open arms. From the minute I visited your community I knew it was a special place, and I am honored to be a part of it”.
