    A message from the Principal

    Hello Paideia Families!

It is with much excitement and pride that I introduce myself as the principal of Paideia High School. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such amazing students, an extremely dedicated staff and a supportive school community. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this school and to support students and families.

I have always been drawn to a role of service to others. After a career in social services, I earned a Masters in Teaching from Whitworth University in 2012. I previously worked for eight years with the Colville School District teaching third grade at my childhood school, Fort Colville Elementary. With a desire to impact an entire school community, I took the leap and entered the principal certification program at Whitworth and earned my principal certification and a Master's in Educational Administration. As a lifelong learner, I will continue to grow and learn to support Paideia in the best way possible, because I believe when you know better you do better.

Being an educational leader is my passion. I was drawn to Paideia’s philosophy of student voice and student choice. As a champion of students, I will make it my goal that every student is heard. Working together to foster growth, we will create lifelong learners who are curious contributors to society.

The legacy of learning at Paideia is evident by the strong questions asked by the student panel during the interview process. I am impressed with their thoughtful and insightful questions. The questions posed are meant to explore a person’s core beliefs. I am honored that my answers met their high level of expectations and that I matched the beliefs of Paideia.

My husband Sam and I reside in Colville with our four kids: Jonah, Sid, Oliver, and Charlotte. As a family we enjoy camping, road trips, working in our garden, and playing yard games. I look forward to meeting parents and guardians and learning more about you and your families.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share. Go Bears!
