A message from the Principal
Greetings, Valley School District Families and Staff –
It is an honor to be selected as the new Valley School principal. The warm reception of the community and staff has blown me away, and the Valley School District is already starting to feel like home. Our current realities certainly present some interesting challenges, and I am excited to get started!
I’d like to take this opportunity to share a little bit about my professional journey. I’ve bounced around some, so rather than providing a chronology, I’ll share some highlights. I earned my teaching degree from The University of Akron (Ohio), and my Educational Leadership degree from the University of Idaho. I’ve been a substitute teacher, a classroom teacher (teaching English/ELA to students in grades 7-12), a coach (volleyball, basketball, cross country, and track), a curriculum teacher, a yearbook advisor, and an administrator. I have been an educator in Ohio, Arizona, Idaho and, most recently, Washington. Positive relationships, strong family partnerships, and a strength-based focus serve as my driving force.
I am thrilled to be here and cannot wait to continue building strong partnerships and positive experiences for children, families, and staff.
