Mr. Jay Myers

    Jay Myers, grew up in Airway Heights, WA, attended Cheney schools through 12th grade and then earned his AA in Liberal Arts at Spokane Falls Community College. Later went on to earn his B.A. in Economics, focusing on Mathematics, from Eastern Washington University long ago. Later in life he went on to earn his Masters In Teaching with a focus in high school mathematics in 2013. He entered the teaching profession in 2013 as a high school mathematics teacher for several schools and districts. 

    The journey through his education career has been enjoyable and enriching. He has taught at Omak High School, Valley Christian School, Wahluke High School, and Forrest Bird Charter school before finding his new home at Paideia High School.

     Other than teaching students math and problem solving skills, Mr. Myers also enjoys hunting morel mushrooms, fishing, raising sheep, tanning sheep, deer and cow hides, training dogs, smoking his own bacon, barbecuing, perfecting his cooking of Thai and Vietnamese meals for his family, and crocheting.
