Dance for Kindness

November 14,2016

Celebrate and Empower Kindness!

Students and staff will have the opportunity to be part of the 5th annual Dance for Kindness on November 14th at 2:30 p.m. in the Valley School Gym. Families and friends are encouraged to attend! The Associated Student Body (ASB) has adopted a theme of kindness this year. What better way to get excited about kindness than to participate in a worldwide event inspiring kindness and unity?

What is DANCE FOR KINDNESS?

Dance for Kindness is a worldwide event focused on the power of kindness to unite us all, despite differences in race, religion, and ethnicity. Groups from across the globe will unite under the banner of kindness and join together to perform a Kindness FlashMob to the same song, all happening in honor of World Kindness Week in early November. Every year Life Vest Inside, a non-profit dedicated to inspiring, empowering and educating people of all backgrounds to lead a life of kindness, orchestrates this incredible dance event.

The local Dance for Kindness event (click on link to see the flyer) at Valley School will start with a FreezeMob and break into a FlashMob. Students will have the choice of participating in the FreezeMob and/or FlashMob, or being a supportive observer. The dance video may be viewed online at http://danceforkindness.com/dance.

Generous contributions from Dawson Trucking, Inc. and The Valley Store made it possible to purchase event t-shirts for the Valley students. Event organizers Gail Churape and Kim Goot extend a HUGE shout out and thank you to these community sponsors!
