Valley School students delivered a whopping 515 pounds of food to the Valley Food Pantry this spring. The food drive is an annual event, sponsored by Pep Club, and all classes participate. The class bringing in the most food, measured by number of pounds per student, received popsicles. This year the 5th grade class rounded up the most donations at 123 pounds!
“The Valley Food Pantry is always very thankful for our school’s donations” remarked Gail Churape, Student Activities Coordinator and art teacher. “It was great this year because when we arrived at the Food Pantry to deliver the food, their big truck was there and the kids helped unload it too!” Kudos to Valley School students for making a positive difference in the community.
