Winter Concert Pulls Heartstrings

December 16,2015

Students from each class, including Paideia High school, offered up their voices to celebrate the season to a full house during the Valley School Winter Concert in the Multi-Purpose room on Thursday, December 10th. Many families and community members were present to enjoy the melodies and to sing along with students. Kindergarteners belted out “Jingle Bells,” keeping bells hidden until just the right moment before jangling away. Fourth graders sang Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy,” a song they learned with the Spokane Symphony on a field trip last October. Middle schoolers performed the beautiful “In This Ancient House,” which they will reprise with the Paideia High School students at the PHS Winter concert on Thursday, December 17th at 6:30 p.m. “I am so proud of my singers!” hailed elementary music teacher and director Susanne Griepp,  “Now, on to the Spring concert.”
